Just as every family is different, every person’s moving needs and approach to a move will likely be different.  Therefore, it is important to have a variety of services options available in order to develop a customized moving plan. 

Berger offers a variety of packing and service options which allow you to do as much or as little as you like.  Your move consultant will explain the many available services and assist you in determining which services you'd like Berger professionals to handle.  Your move consultant will then tailor a personal moving plan to your specific needs, schedule and budget. 

Move Management

Free in-home consultation and survey – A move consultant will come to your home, explain the many services Berger offers and help you determine which services you’d like Berger’s professionals to handle.  A survey of everything you plan to move will be performed and things that require special attention will be pointed out along the way.

Computerized, no-charge estimates – Based on the information gathered during your consultation and survey, your relocation consultant will provide you with various pricing options and an accurate, hassle-free price quote.

Single-point-of-contact move coordinator – It is your move coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure your move goes smoothly and advise you on every aspect of your move throughout the entire move process.

Packing Options

Full-Service Packing – All items in your home are packed by our experts using the most up-to-date packing methods and materials in the industry.

Fragile Packing – Only those items you define as breakable or high-value, such as dishes, glassware, artwork, fragile furniture and mirrors are professionally packed.

Do-It-Yourself Packing – Berger can provide guidelines, boxes and other packing materials to make your job as easy as possible.

Basic Services

Loading – All of your belongings are labeled, inventoried and loaded onto our trucks in a systematic process by our trained technicians.

Furniture protection - Berger uses the most up-to-date packing materials and has specially-trained technicians who employ proven packing techniques to ensure the safety of your furniture.

Transportation – Berger provides local, long distance and international transportation services. Our trailers are equipped with air-ride suspension systems and our drivers are thoroughly trained to ensure the safe and timely arrival of your belongings.   

Unloading – Upon arrival, all items are unloaded and placed in their designated rooms. All items disassembled by our crew will be reassembled.

Additional Services

Specialized crating and packaging – Special packaging service for high-value items such as artwork, electronic equipment or delicate collectibles. 

Unpacking – Boxes are opened and contents are removed and placed on a flat surface or in their desired location; boxes and packing materials are removed.

Cars/Boats – Depending on size, items will be protected and placed either in the truck with the rest of your belongings or on another vehicle if necessary.

Assembly/Disassembly – Disassembly of furniture, swing sets, etc., prior to your move and re-assembly upon arrival at your new location.

Third Party Services – Third party services such as appliance or hot tub connect/disconnect, pool table disassembly/assembly and cleaning services can be arranged for you.

Shuttle Services – A small truck will transport your belongings from your old home to the moving van or from the moving van to your new home when access to your home is difficult.

Storage – Controlled warehouse for short and long term storage.
